SMS privacy notice

This notice covers text messages specifically. The general privacy policy applies as well; this page states the parts that carriers and message providers require to be findable at a stable address.

What we collect for SMS

  • Your mobile number.
  • The content of the messages you exchange with the agent, stored as text.
  • Delivery metadata from the carrier, such as whether a message was delivered and when.

Why

To reply to you on behalf of the business you messaged, to let that business read the conversation afterwards, and to keep the messaging service working.

Who it is shared with

Twilio delivers the messages and OpenAI generates the replies. The business you messaged can read the conversation. Beyond that we do not share it.

  • No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Consent to receive text messages is never shared with anyone for any purpose other than delivering the messages you asked for.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help. Opting out is honoured at the carrier level and takes effect immediately.

How long messages are kept

For as long as the business that owns the conversation keeps their account, unless they ask us to delete it sooner. You can ask us to delete your messages through the contact form on this site, and we will pass the request to that business and act on their instruction.
